BS Medical Laboratory Technology

Duration: 4 Years

Description:

A Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology (BS MLT) program introduces students to the essential skills and knowledge needed to work in medical laboratories. The program typically covers areas such as clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, blood banking, and molecular diagnostics. Students learn laboratory techniques, instrumentation, quality control, data analysis, and laboratory management. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on training in performing diagnostic tests, analyzing specimens, and interpreting results accurately. Additionally, students learn about laboratory safety, ethics, and regulations governing laboratory practices in healthcare settings. The BS MLT program prepares graduates for careers as medical laboratory technologists, where they play a crucial role in aiding healthcare professionals in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating diseases.
